If you do plan to get into the Online education racket, there is a few things you should know right away. You do have to be an expert on what you are teaching, however, if you plan to sell your readers other courses in the future.  What i have not learned from experience, I have gained from good old fashion research. Even if you are not an expert, you can still educate yourself and become an expert.

Note this well. If you plan to sell an Online Course, just make sure you have done your research. Then do some more research on the topic you plan to educate your peers on. The one thing you should never ever do is try to make a quick buck. When you release an online course, you better be an expert and put together a great course. If you do not do it right, it may be the last online course you ever sell online.

Here is my number one rule; Treat you reader and buyers like gold and keep them coming back. Before you launch your course, make sure it is something you would by yourself. Always go the extra mile and put out excellent material and you will have a loyal and happy customer base for years to come.

Brand Vision Inc., is a full service marketing and design firm. Being in a very competitive market, I felt we needed to branch out and explore other business opportunities in order to help our company grow. Almost exactly 18 months to the day, we started working on our first course, which was a WordPress Website builder training course. We already had a solid list of loyal and happy customers, and developing  wordpress websites is definitely something all of us here at Brand Vision Inc. are experts on.

I started out by drafting a plan, which i have revised and perfect over the last 20 months with some help from my team of expert marketers. At the time, we had 3 web developers and 2 internet marketing experts. One thing i learned about my marketing and web design team over the years, is that each one of them had a special talent or area of expertise. With that being said, I asked every member of my web development team, as well as my internet marketing team, to put together a very general training outline in their area of expertise.

I will admit, it was nice to have a team of marketing experts that could help me with putting together the content for our first Online training Course. However, I did write about 50% of the first course myself and i still had to rely on my experience and do a ton of research. My success in the Online Education Industry was due to a combination of solid, useful content, combined with lots of hard work, excellent customer support, and the drive to succeed in a new market.

The first Online course took about two months to put together and my only real investment was time and effort. This investment has come full full circle and paid dividends way beyond my expectations. The first Online course is always the toughest, but is also an incredible learning experience. Plus, once you do complete your first online course, you feel very empowered with a strong sense that success is truly within your grasp.
