If your a Pinterest user, you may have already noticed that you can no longer just change the URL of any Pin. In the good old days, all you had to do was click edit and replace the original pin URL with your own unique Pin URL. Well, Im sorry to say, the good old days are now officially over. You may have noticed or read that Pinterest has in fact made some changes. Some Good. Some Bad. And of course this change, Real Bad. YES, It sucks, but i guess we just have to deal with it and face the facts. You can no longer change another users Pin URL on Pinterest. Or can you? This is the million dollar question I set out to find an answer to.
The first thing I did was contact Pinterest to inquire about this change. That pretty much got me nowhere and nothing but excuses. And of course you know what they say; Excuses are like assholes. Everyone has one and they all stink. Don’t laugh. If you think about it, It’s true. Excuses really are just like assholes. While looking for answers from Pinterest help, I did confirm that it is still perfectly legal to download, share, copy, or print anything that is pinned on Pinterest. This is very important and something i needed to find out before I starting my quest to discover a way to change any Pin URL and make any Pin my own. All the copyright talk circulating around Pinterest has made some people scared to use the site, so the last thing I would want to do is break any copyright laws. When pinning on Pinterest, all you need to do, is make sure the content you are pinning is used legally.
After I had confirmed no laws were being broken, I set out to find a solution to the problem at hand. I did search the internet high and low for answers, but i found nothing that was at all helpful or useful. I realized that I was going to have to dig in and find a solution to this problem myself. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, that is exactly what i did.
After mashing buttons on my computer for several hours and missing the last episode of The Walking Dead, I stumbled upon a ingeniously clever solution. It’s not quite as easy as it used to be in the good old days of Pinterest, but non the less, this clever little trick works like a charm. To prevent future headaches and aggravation, I even tested surefire solution every which way but loose. It definitely works like a charm and because i am Mr. nice guy, i’m going to spill the beans.
